The Plateau stars

The Plateau neighbourhood has rapidly become of the most popular areas of Montreal. Its a trendy corner of the city, located at the eastern foot of the mountain, just above Parc la Fontaine. The Plateau has a reputation for being trendy and bohemian. Its streets are lined with the familiar Montreal-style triplexes painted in bright colours, and the downtown strip of the neighbourhood, located on Rachel, is full of cafes, restaurants, trendy clothing shops and grocers. There are some really nice produce shops along Rachel that are always much more reasonably priced than any of the bigger grocery chains, and the cafes all have casual, warm atmospheres.
