Fresh fish and more
The Helgoländer Fischstube is not the kind of place I usually hang out at, the regulars are slightly elder - and wealthier. It´s not a super-expensive snob hub, though, so if you have a couple more euros to spend don´t be afraid to go in. Thee food is exceptionally good, it´s all fish, as you can guess from the name, and it´s all fresh (the restaurant is on the fish market square). The interior is slightly - ehm - interesting, it´s sort of Frisian maritime furniture, paintings of the sea and so on. The staff are friendly and attentive. Try the Labskaus if you dare, it´s highly recommendable. U/SBahn Landungsbrücken or ferry stop Altona Fischmarkt. [more] |
