Caretta-Caretta turtles!
Gerakas, is one of the most famous sandy beaches in Zante! I had read and told by relatives and friends about this beach until I got there – thankfully! Gerakas, is known for the Caretta-Caretta turtles, because it is the place they choose to build their nests along the beach!! The beach is carefully sealed in the places where the turtle nests take place. There some restrictions in this beach that must be followed. There is also a well-informed stuff that is gonna give you complete information before you enter the sandy and beautiful beach!! [more] |
