Club Aura

Aura was the first Turkish club I ever went to, and it's still the most unusual. It's kind of a mixture between outdoor and indoor; there's a surrounding wall, but no ceiling, and therefore no climate control. This means it gets quite hot in the summer, and at the beginning of the season there's the threat of rain. Nonetheless, the dance floor is good and the bars are even better. Each of the bars in Aura is seperately owned, and they each have their own theme and gimmick. This keeps prices low because they compete against each other for business. The DJs play pretty good music, a mixture of Turkish pop and the latest dance hits from Europe. There is a cover charge for men, but single girls can talk their way past the bouncers for free.
