Restaurants in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Playa Blanca has expanded in recent years and there are numerous restuarnts and cafes along the main street, the seafront and at the new Rubicon marina. There is a wide variety of eateries available - tapas, italian, chinese, mexican and even indian.
Some of the ones I'd recommend are as follows:
L’Artista - on the sea front in between the harbour and Playa Dorada. This is an Italian restaurant run by people with lots of personality! It is not very large and can get very busy so I'd recommend arriving by 7pm. There is a small terrace upstairs overlooking the beach. Pasta/pizza dishes are about 8 euros, and meat course about 12 euros. The garlic pizza bread is huge.
Lanis - these are a chain of restaurants. At the marina they have a tex mex and a snack bar. The tex mex has good food, but can be very busy so service can get a little slow, but then this is the Mediterranean way! The steak is about 12euros. There is a huge variety of food - pasta, meats, mexican etc It's one of the few places abroad that I've found jacket potatoes!
The Italian restaurant at the marina is ideal for a lunch in the sun. It's about 7 euros for a pasta dish and is very tasty with a lovely, setting, perhaps a bit quieter than those along the seafront at Playa Blanca.
The creperie in the marina is ideal for a snack - it offers a wide variety of sweet and savoury crepes
Casa del Rojo in the marina - we went here for new years eve. They offered a 5 course set menu, plus wine and live music for 120 euros per person. It has a beautiful setting overlooking the marina. [more]
