The Town Hall
A very important highlight of Lorca is the town hall. It was built in more stages. They started building it in 1678, but then it was only a prison, so they didn’t really use it for the town’s administration. That came later, around 1740 when they enlarged the building. They added a big part to the building, which served for administration. There are two very important statues, which symbolize justice and charity, make sure you don’t miss them. There are many other statues inside the building, but also many paintings, works of local painters. Another treasure of the Town Hall are six huge paintings which depict some great battles of Lorca.
