Buller Court Motel, Westport
This is by far the best motel I have stayed in in Westport.
Westport is a small town of 5,000 people, nestled at the base of the Southern Alps on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
Buller Court Motel is situated at the north end of Palmerston Street, the main street in the settlement. The elderly owners are always friendly and accomodating, and willing to help in any way they can.
The motel offers 5 2-bedroom units and 8 studio units, all with small kitchens, coffee-making facilities, satellite TV, ensuites, and undercover parking at your door. It is set away from the road, so the noise won't bother you, in a sunny and peaceful garden setting.
There is a cooked or continental breakfast service, and wireless broadband is available in every room. The owner is also happy to drive you to the airport or bus in his big old car.
Buller Court is close to the shops, restaurants, and supermarkets, and costs between $95 and $135 (2 persons). [more ]
