Dotto Kisvonat - A Kiddy Ride To Reach Tihany Abbey
What is the main attraction of Tihany? That is of course the Tihany Abbey. From a far such as from across Balaton Lake of Zamardi and neighboring towns, we can see the Tihany Abbey standing tall in distant right on a higher land of Tihany. Just by looking from distant you know you have to sort of climb up to reach the Tihany Abbey; however, need not to worry, if you are a tourist without vehicles whatsoever, once you crossed the Balaton Lake from Zsantod to Tihany, you can wait for a small kiddy train that will take you to Tihany Abbey. The local people call this kiddy train as Dotto Kisvonat. You, along with other tourists (passengers) will be driven right up to the Tihany Abbey complex. The ticket price for the seat is pretty cheap, about 350 Forint per person and believe me it really is cheap instead walking up and exhausting yourself.
