Alborz Kebabs on Station Road is a small, unassuming takeaway, but believe it or not this is where I have found the best kebabs in Lancashire. Portion sizes are absolutely gigantic - my advice is to stick with the regular sizes, because the super-size meals are way too much! The meat is always fresh and delicious, but best of all are Alborz's sauces, which are always a little different and really pack a punch. I particularly love that their extra-hot chili sauce is made with fresh ginger, which gives the food an amazing fresh flavour that you don't normally expect from kebabs. I used to eat there several times a week until I moved down south. I have yet to find a better British kebab house. [more] |
