Coopers is a friendly family-run café and shop on 17 Lower Marsh in South-East London. I took the tube to Waterloo which is only a couple of minutes walk. Coppers is open from Monday to Friday 8.30am-17.30pm. They offer eat in (by the long table in the middle of the shop) or takeaway which is a tad cheaper.
The food is 100% vegetarian, I really liked the sandwich with hummus and tomatoes, but the baguettes with different fillings (as tomato, Feta, vego ham and egg) looked tempting too. Coopers sells soups (as one with lentils and celery which is vegan) for under £3.00, quiches with salad, and several ready-made options like bean and vegetable wrap. The sandwiches and the baguettes are definitely worth a try, but apart from that I can’t talk for or against anything because I haven’t tasted the other dishes. You’ll have to visit Coopers and try yourself.
The shop at Coopers has vitamins as well as various organic bread, dried fruits and nuts, vegan chocolate, flapjacks, and other groceries that are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and health-conscious foodies. [more ]
