Becks Brewery Tour
Bremen’s most famous export and one of the few German beers that have an International reputation. So, finding ourselves in Bremen with a spare afternoon, it seemed impolite not to make a visit. The tour is quite interesting (the technical/science bit takes about an hour) and then you’re escorted through to the 'tasting room' (that’s a pub to you and me) where you get to blind test some of the various beers they produce. They also make a non-alcoholic beer so you might want to try and avoid that one. We had six decent sized glasses of beer which was great value (I think the entrance fee was €7) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Subsequent evening plans went out the window and we all headed down to a pub by the river. [more] |
