Neue Residenz and Staatsgalerie
The New Residence was one of my favorite places in Bamberg, just after the Little Venice. What I loved the most about this place were the walls and columns of the structure. They are completely ornamented with magnificent frescos representing the family tree of the Habsburg Family. There are also a many statues representing all of the emperors of the Roman Empire. The Gallery is also a great place to visit and enjoy paintings of some of the most famous artists such as Grien and Cranach. I loved the city, I recommend it one hundred percent, and it is those kinds of cities that make the trip worth it. [more] |
