Frankie & Bennie's restaurant
If you're looking for a taste of America in little old Walton-le-Dale, Frankie & Bennie's is the place to go. The decor has a sort of mid-20th-century quasi-mobster theme with an Italian flavour and a heavy dose of the Rat Pack, but the food is mostly American diner and grill fare. Burgers and fries are a good choice; I also like the pizzas and the pasta dishes. I always have dessert, even if I'm stuffed full already, because the selection is just too amazing to pass up. Service is generally pretty good, occasionally I have had an issue with a waiter but nothing that couldn't be sorted out. Dress is casual and the atmosphere is laid-back, and the prices reflect this, with a bit extra tacked on for the gimmick of the place - the music in the ladies' room is actually an Italian language course, teaching you the basics of the language while you wash your hands.
