Konig Strasse
Konig Strasse is the main street that runs straight in front of the main train station. The main palace is on this street as well as most of the best shopping that Stuttgart has to offer. When I was on the street, I counted two H and Ms, an Esprit, and of course there are many other small shops selling clothes and souvenirs. My favorite thing about these busy shopping centers is the street performers. Last time I was there I saw a guy who was dressed up as the statue of liberty, but he was holding the fire baton in the wrong hand, and he appeared to be holding a book that he was studying from. I usually feel bad for these people and obliged to give them a few spare coins. The amount of people walking on this street during a nice is incredibly. There is just a sea of people coming in both directions that doesn’t seem to stop. Make sure to walk on the right side of the street if you are going towards the main station and on the left side if you are going away from it. Going against traffic will mean getting pushed and shoved. I made many people angry at me the last time I tried that. [more] |
