Kubota Gardens

This was a great way to connect with nature and spend some time away from city life in Seattle. The entire area is a 20 acre Japanese garden. I was able to walk past waterfalls, ponds, and over small bridges. I will recommend bringing your own drinking water before coming here because they don’t have any available sources of it here. They’ve got plenty of places to have a picknick here, so when I went I turned the day into a picnic party and was able to enjoy lunch while sitting among the beautiful plants in the garden.

To get there by car:
From I-5 Northbound
• exit the freeway at Martin Luther King Jr. (Exit 157)
• Stay on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way
• Turn right on S Ryan Way
• Turn left on 51st Ave S
• Take a sharp right on Renton Ave S
• Turn right on 55th Ave S
From I-5 Southbound
• Exit the freeway at Pacific Highway South/East Marginal Way (Exit 158)
• Turn left toward Martin Luther King, Jr. Way
• continue up the hill on S Ryan Way
• Turn left on 51st Ave S
• Take a sharp right on Renton Ave S
• Turn right on 55th Ave S [more ]
