Tipitina's
Tipitina's club, which is uptown in the Garden District, ahs been famous as a music venue since my mother was a teenager. She told me lots of stories about it when I was too young to go, I think she may have been trying to prove that she was hip too. However, once I could go I found that the place was still wonderful 23 years later. They put a lot of time and effort into getting good bands and putting them into good staging, and the food's fairly typical of the city, which is to say Cajun, hot, and yummy. [more] |
