This is an exclusive cocktail bar in Palma City Centre. It is hard to find up one of the winding streets and it took me a while to locate it. I had heard great reviews about it and didnt want to miss it. It is on Calle Sant Joan in the La Lonja district of Palma, and it is hidden behind a wooden door. You wouldnt think there was anything so magnificent behind a normal wooden door. If you knock on the door you will be greeted by a white golved waiter. Remember though it doesnt even open until about 9pm. The interior is a 16th century converted palace. It is full of romantic candlelight, hundreds of fresh flowers everywhere. It is like sitting in a palace. You are not allowed to take photographs and if you do you will be asked to leave. It is truly an exquisite venue to sit and have a drink taking in the amazing surroundings. The cocktails are expensive at around 15 euros but they are definately worth it. You will be given a menu and all that is listed are cocktails and champagne but if you ask you can have a normal drink such as a beer or a glass of wine. There is a courtyard with a fountain where you can sit outside on a warm evening and it like something from a movie. We had a great time from start to finish. Make sure you dont miss it. [more] |
