The Shires Shopping Centre Leicester
The Shires is currently undergoing a massive extension and refurbishment. This is set to turn it from a standard sized shopping mall to a massive giant of a shopping mall. Apart from causing havoc on the ringroad this extension seems to be a good thing for Leicester in general. At present the Shires is OK, it has many of the expected high street retailers under one roof, think Debenhams, Oasis, McDonalds, HMV etc etc. The extension will certainly bring a whole load more and probably see many retailers n other parts of the city move into the new developments. The Shires is a good place if you like all your retail therapy under one roof with well known brands. Not my kind of thing, and the shires is not the most impressive mall decoration wise - or parking wise -you should see the queues on a Saturday! Otherwise its not so shabby and no doubt the extension will be impressive. [more] |
