Grand Hotel des Terraux a Lyon
Grand Hotel des Terraux a Lyon is one of those rare hotels in France which offer surprisingly beautiful rooms at reasonable prices. We stayed here during our last trip to Lyon and we were literally in awe because of how nice the hotel was. The pool area, while not massive in size like you would expect to find at some of the more family-friendly hotels, was beautiful, almost romantic, with stone inlays in the walls, small bridges to walk across certain parts of the pool, and as for the bar, it was also quite nice, although a little too overcrowded for my taste when we visited. Our room was made to accomodate three people and had its own separate theme from all of the other rooms, according to the lovely girl at the front desk, and it included a separate bed for our son, one for us parents, plush chairs, a writing desk, wardrobe and everything else we could possibly need, all for 150 Euros, which is fairly cheap for the Lyon area! It's located about five to ten minutes from the center of town, so be sure to reserve well in advance! [more] |
