Mimara Museum is located on Roosevelt square number 5 (its is a square right behind the Ethnological Museum).
Mimara Museum was really based on a collection of Ante Topic Mimara who was an art collector and decided to donate all of his collection to the state.
There are about 4000 works of art, anything from sculptures to drawings – there is a good part of the collection dedicated to the Far Eastern art but the main highlight of the collection in my opinion are the French, Spanish and Dutch masters. Check out Goya, Rubens and Rembrandt.
Opening hours are from June until September from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00am until 7:00pm; Sundays from 10:00am until 2:00pm. The price of admission is 20 kunas. [more]
