Archeology Museum/Sant Pere De Galligants
Sant Pere De Galligants is located at Santa Llúcia 1. Basically here you have 2 attractions – there is the Archeology museum and then there is the Sant Pere De Galligants monastery where the museum is housed. It is a church and a monastery that dates back to 12 the century and is done in Romanesque style. It is considered as one of the prettiest examples of Catalan Romanesque style. The cloisters is really beautiful, while the exhibition of the museum concentrates on the artifacts that were found in excavations in Catalonia from the period Paleolithic onwards. You are getting 2 for the price of one and it was a nice little exhibition when I finally and again got the time right. Opening hours are from June to September from 10:30am until 1.30pm and from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. The price of admission is €2.00. [more] |
