Museum of Art in Girona is located at Pujada de la Catedral 12. This museum is located right next to the Cathedral in what used to be an Episcopal church. Since it was on our ways and it was open we did went in and I have to say it was interesting. The art that is exhibited spans 10 centuries and there are all sorts of stuff to be seen. The works start at the pre-Romanesque period and then go on to 20th century. There are Virgin Mary statues, altars, printing presses, ceramics – all used in this region. To me at least this was €2.00 well spent as I did not expect to find so many interesting things. Opening hours are from March to September from Tuesday until Saturday from 10:00am until 7:00pm; Sundays from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Price of admission is €2.00. [more] |
