Parade Over the Baltic Sea!
When I visited Helsinki a few years ago in early March, much to our pleasure, we found the Baltic Sea completely arcticly chilled. A teenager of 18, what did I decide to do along with the rest of the batch? Uh huh...we thought parading around the frozen-over Baltic Sea would be such a grand idea, and guess what? It really was! It was probably one of the most exhilarating experiences, especially because of the uncertainty that it exuded; at any point, the sheath of ice could have broken and we could have fallen right into the rift! But that's what made it adventurous and one of the best experiences for me. I totally urge you to waltz into pure uncertainty if you get the opportunity to; you won't regret it. Go during the winter wonderland months and you're guaranteed to find the beautiful sea covered with a magical layer of ice! [more] |
