The Halfway
The Pontcanna suburb of Cardiff has a good selection of traditional pubs and “The Halfway” on Cathedral Road is a popular haunt for its cosy interior, complete with some nice Victorian touches and the fact that it has a skittle alley. Skittles and balls can be obtained at the bar by leaving a deposit and no charge is made for the use of the alley. The pub is owned by the Cardiff-based Brains Brewery and so their beers are particularly well represented. Food is served and the pub offers a Sunday lunch special. [more] |
