T.G.I. Friday's in New Delhi
T.G.I. Friday's is an American chain of casual dining facilities. However, during the past few years staying true to the globalization phenomenon that has swept through the world, T.G.I. Friday's has expanded business to all corners of the world. This hot spot among the middle to upper class youngsters has sprung up in several locations around the metropolis and its satellite cities. The one I've been to is in Connaught Place in central Delhi. I entered with a nostalgia for American food and dining, but walked out somewhat satisfied. Point is don't expect the same menu and food items that you've tried in the US. The menu has been catered to fit the Indian palate and tastes. There are also no beef items, although that is slated to change in the near future. The best part that remains constant throughout the restaurants worldwide is the selection and taste of cocktails. The signature margaritas and daiquiris are oozing with fresh fruit, making it extremely popular and tasty. The ambiance is really lively and makes for a good place to hang out with friends.
