The Blood Compact Site
While I am not so fond of History class when I was in school, I could take in a few doses through site explorations. In one of my most memorable travel adventures, in Bohol that is, I was tempted to see where Datu Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi sealed their friendship. The Blood Compact site is a must-see with all its cultural and historical values. It can even teach you a lesson or two the way it did to me. The beauty of friendship between the two gentlemen is something admirable that we all should emulate. But that’s not it, yet. The Blood Compact site also shows off just how artsy Filipinos are. The sculptures of the men present during the historical event seem to come to life as I stare. And oh, the Blood Compact site is also the best spot to get the most scenic view of the Bohol Sea.
