Clubbing at Room 680
Room 680 is located in Hawthorne at 680 Glenferry Road. It usually has various events so the music can range from dance to psy trance, house to hard trance and sometimes even drum and bass. I wasn't impressed with the music on the event I went to, too 'Clubland' for me, but they had live performances including an appearance by Lasgo. However the venue itself was pretty cool with excellent lighting and the lasers were brilliant. The set out was a bit over crowded, so there isn’t a huge amount of places to dance as the place gets quite packed. There are fabulous seating areas though and there is an outdoor seating area where you can smoke as well. There are two rooms, usually one is faster (for instance trance) and one slower playing house music. Entry fee varies from $15 - $35 depending on the event and its usually open til at least 6am. Overall it’s a cool club but strangely mixed crowd. I would go again, but maybe when there is a better event on. [more] |
