Warning for tourists - the 10 Euro Coke scam
I experienced this when I was younger in Barcelona and I figured it was just bad luck. If the menu at a cafe in Europe don't include the prices for drinks then ask. I didn't, twice! Both times I ordered a meal costing no more than 6 euros but when we got our bill we were very surprised, it was way bigger than we expected! It turns out that a small coke was 10 euros which is simply outrageous! So next time there is no price in the menu for drinks please make sure you don't get overcharged... [more] |
