Two Feathers, a Native American shop in the middle of Brighton
Two Feathers at first seems out of place in the North Laines; it's a Native American shop selling all sorts of merchandise from the southwest of America. There is turquoise jewellery, leather goods, dream catchers, etc. Though the merchandise is different from anything else you can find in Brighton, the store fits into the eclectic, spiritual and free-spirited atmosphere of Brighton. The store offers tarot card readings and spiritual healing workshops and sessions as well as astrological readings and reiki and aromatherapy treatments. There are loads of books on the history and spiritualism of all sorts of Native American tribes and traditions as well as stuff on Buddhism, wiccan, and other spiritual paths, but the majority is Native American inspired. The store has background music of flutes and drums. There is incense in the air and Navajo style rugs on the floors. It's a good place to pick up on part of the spiritual side of Brighton. [more] |
