Shakey’s made a name for itself in Manila back the 1970’s when it was a popular pizza bar; pizza bar meaning it served pizza along with beer and musical entertainment. Today, the musical entertainment in Shakey’s is long gone, but the delicious pizza and cold beer haven’t disappeared. The aura of Shakey’s is always so light-hearted and comforting that even customers from thirty years ago still drop by today. The pizzas may have changed a bit but the general taste of the place is the same. In this sense, Shakey’s doesn’t serve just food, it serves a historical experience that enchants even the members of the younger generation.
