Quintanilha's relaxed River Maçãs stars

Quintanilha is the Portuguese village that together with River Maçãs (apples in Portuguese) makes the border with Spain in the area.
It is a small but nice river to enjoy especially in the hot summer days. As the river goes south and ends being the border, entering the Portuguese territory, at some point on the road behind Outeiro village’s castle ruins, you will find a very small dam, ideal for swimming since there are no currents at all. Further south, near Algoso's village there is a Roman Empire road and bridge over the river.
