The Cardiff Bay area of Cardiff includes the Grovesnor Casino (part of the Grovesnor chain) at the back of the shopping centre and is a smart but friendly place if you’re up for a flutter in the area. Admission is to members only but you can join on the door with some photo ID. or pay £3 to be admitted as a guest. Roulette, blackjack, poker and slots are well represented with most tables starting at a £5 minimum. There’s a well run bar, free coffee and on Friday and Saturday nights some live entertainment is provided. A top tip is travelling as a group is to phone the casino first and advise them of your visit as they often leave complimentary drinks and gaming vouchers at the door for new members (particular for groups).
