A Taste Of Raj in Palmers Green
To the English, curry is now about as traditional as fish‘n’chips and the Queen’s speech to the commonwealth on Christmas Day. Therefore finding a good curry house is something of an obsession for some people, me included. I struck gold with ‘A taste of Raj’ in Palmers Green.
I’ve tried most things on the menu and my favourite dishes are; Tandoori Mixed Grill - with a succulent chicken breast, and beautifully spiced pieces of lamb. You can hear the dish sizzle long before it reaches your table. The Lamb Pasanda is another favourite, with a terrific mild and creamy sauce.
The owner, Anwar, and his staff can’t do enough for you and at the end of the meal, they’ll bring you almost limitless supplies of coffee and brandy. You only pay for one cup, the rest is on the house.
And to top it off, it’s incredible value too. The prices haven’t gone up in more than 5 years. [more ]
