Highgate Ostrich Show Farm
This was really fun. First they take you for a tour and give you a brief explanation of ostrich customs and a museum of feathers. You get to see loads of ostrich around. A man in the crowd offered his hand to one of them, when my boyfriend tried himself he realised how painful it was! Don´t offer them your hand!Later they give you the chance to ride on an ostrich, my boyfriend and I were the only "brave" ones to mount. That was hilarious! It was like being on top of a massive chicken. Not sure I´ll do it again as I felt the ostrich was not that happy with the extra burden. They have a little restaurant outside and offer you a free drink . A really lovely day!!! [more] |
