El Hammam- Massage Experience
This is a must do if you visit Málaga City! Just 5 minutes from the Picasso Museum you will find the Hammam. You may need to ask for directions from the Museum as it is an rather narrow street. The Hammam or "magic bath" consisted of 2 dry heat and one cool area. We laid in the heated marble stones while listening to the relaxing sound of water and it was absolutely amazing experience. The staff was really friendly . They are open every day of the week so that makes it quite flexible. In some Tourist Information Points you may be able to found some discount vouchers for El Hammam. The only thing I did not like is that the changing rooms are actually only one changing room . You will have your own locker by no privacy at all. They offered a wide range of massages so we pre-booked an aromatherapy and a white chocolate massage. The Heat Rooms are on the ground floor so you have to go through reception on a towel to the top floor which made us a bit cold. My friend was really happy with his massage, but my aromatherapy felt more like a chiropractic session. I assumed that they just have Massaging general skills so next time I´ll keep my expectations lower. They have a relaxation area where you can lay in lovely traditional Arabic decorated rooms after your massage and have a coffee or tea but the rooms were so cold that we went back to the heat rooms straight away.
