Just 40 min from Granada city you will find the Sierra Nevada National Park and Biosphere reserve. Although Andalusia is popular for it´s beautiful and abundant sunshine and it´s mild temperatures, you can not miss a visit to this spectacular park. Sierra Nevada means "snowy mountain range". We visited in the month of December and although there was very little snow the views were still amazing. The Mulhacén is the highest point of Sierra Nevada as well a the Spanish Peninsula. With nearly 3,500 meters. There is a Ski Resort that you can visit as well. [more]
