Off to the library (Ephesus Brothel)
The Brothel is supposed to have been connected via a tunnel to the Celsus Library, so you can imagine the library must have been very popular in the old days ;) According to our guide some people think that this might have been a boarding house, but we all preferred the brothel story. We had a look at the first floor which was still relatively well preserved. Unfortunately the second floor was completely destroyed. On Curetes Street there is a footprint in the marble which is suppose to show the way to the brothel. [more] |
