The masquerade is quite a festive event in Bacolod. You can see masks decorating any and every place, especially in restaurants. It comes as no surprise, then, that most food joints exude a festive atmosphere, largely in part to the Masskara Festival or mask tradition. Take Palapala for example, located at 18th st. Palapala, Bacolod City. The place is just so cheerful that it’s almost always crowded. What’s really interesting about Palapala, however, is that it serves Seafood Thai noodles at a whopping price of 130Php, less than US$3.50.
