Lively terraces at Casemates Square
Casemates Square is Gibraltar´s central square and a great place to enjoy a meal in any of it´s many varied restaurants during the day or chill´out in the music bars at night. The Square is filled with terrace bars and little shops. Before I visited Gibraltar I read in a brochure that this Square was notably more cosmopolitan than any of the bars in the Costa del Sol, but although this was a lively and busy square I thought it was very conservative, wearisome and rather unsophisticated.
