Bonfires, Beach Disco and fun at the Fuengirola´s Noche de San Juan
Every year there is a big party at the Fuengirola´s Playa del Castillo (Castle Beach) on the night of the 24th of June. The festivity is called Noche de San Juan (St. John´s night). This is an unique day of the year that bonfires are allowed on the beach. This festivity is celebrated in most places throughout Spain. At around 10pm ou´ll see the beach starting to be packed with bonfires, barbecues, tents, parasols. Families and friends gather together to celebrate. There is also a Disco Beach with big screens and several DJ´s just beneath the Sohail Castle. It is traditional to jump over the bonfire, you´ll see many acrobatic jumps around.
