Häagen-Dazs Cafe
Häagen-Dazs is a popular brand of Ice cream throughout the world and Jamaica is no exception. Usually the only places to get it were Supermarkets, a few Gas Stations and Restaurants until a few months ago. A Häagen-Dazs Café was opened at the Loshushan complex in Barbican. It’s a great place to hang out with family or friends whether you choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The Service is excellent as I found the staff to be rather pleasant and courteous. It doesn’t matter if you just want to have a single cone or you choose to order one of the mouth-watering items on their menu. You can ask them to recommend something based on what you like and they will allow you to sample the flavours before you order. Another cool thing about the Café is the free WIFI service available. There have been occasions when I just went there with my laptop to check my email and although I didn’t make a purchase they accommodated and even asked if I wanted a glass of water while I was surfing the net. There are very few places in Kingston outside of the hotels where you can get wireless service at no cost, so Häagen-Dazs Café is probably your best bet and having a scoop of Praline Crunch Ice-cream couldn’t hurt either.
