Low to Medium hiking trails and Ancient Petroglyphs
Petroglyph National Monument was a great location to discover reminiscences of ancient petroglyphs as well as a superb opportunity to enjoy some low to medium difficulty hiking trails. The best area to explore the hundreds of petroglyphs available within the national monument was the Boca Negra Canyon. From there you can take one of the three low level self-guided trails. The Boca Negra canyon had drinking water, toilets and a resting area with shade. Entrance to the monument was free except for a small parking fee. There were magnificent views of Albuquerque from the canyon. [more] |
