Pri Zvoncu
On the first day we arrived in Zagreb I was really keen to try a restaurant that serves traditional Croatian food. A friend suggested we try Pri Zvoncu and what a lovely place it was, with a nice homely feel and built with plain brick and wood and lots of big windows looking out onto the garden. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but it took quite a while for the food to arrive - best get your order in as soon as you sit down and sit back with a few drinks. At least you know your food is not just warmed up in a microwave! For the main meal we tried roasted lamb and sausages which were delicious. We also had a bottle or two of a local red wine that was very drinkable. And some nice chocolate pancakes for desert. [more] |
