Ethiopian Wine and Dine

 stars
Etiopian food is particularly popular with the college and young working crowd, and Abyssinia is the best Ethiopian place in Philly. Tucked in University City, it has an extensive menu and a server that will patiently explain things to you. The dining experience is communal – huge plates of bread with the entrees on top, family style, which is really good for big groups of people. I recommend the lentils, but all the meats are good as well. I’ve been 3 times and have not had anything bad. Alcohol is cheap, and they have hookah. A group of 6 of us went to dinner and had drinks, and spent around $100, which is a really good price for a city restaurant. [more]
