Free admission on Sunday to visit the Impressive Toltec stone Warriors of Tula

 stars
If you are staying in Mexico City it is worth a trip to visit the Ancient Aztec-Toltec sites especially the one in Tula. Despite not being one of the most impressive ruins it is worth a visit just to watch the 4 metres tall "Warriors of Tula" on top of the Pyramid of the Morning Star. From the top you can have great views of the rest of the site. The carving details in the pyramids were magnificent, you can easily distinguish pumas, eagles and jaguars fantastically displayed on the facade of the pyramids. The entrance fee was very small, no more than 3€, but if you happen to be there on a Sunday you can enjoy a free admission. To get to Tula drive about 100km north of Mexico City towards Hidalgo.
