Best conditions in Boracay to do Kitesurfing
One of the best places to kitesurf in the world, Boracay has one of the strongest cross-shore winds sweeping across the Bulabog Lagoon. Stretching over 3 bays of 2.5km of shallow water, it is also a safe area to do kitesurfing - for both beginners and advanced kitesurfers. Kitesurfing is one of the newest, up-and-coming extreme sport that brings new meaning to the word 'adventure' . A 'kite' (more like a parachute) is attached to your body with a harness and handle (somewhat like wake-boarding), and as the strong wind blows, it sends you jibing through the air, and riding the waves. One of the potential dangers of this sport is the risk of hitting reefs/rocks on the shore. The Bulabog Lagoon on Boracay is shallow and filled with turqoise waters, that makes kitesurfing not only safe, but also enjoyable, whilst the strong winds make it adrenaline-pumping and exciting. On the small island of Boracay, you can find many kitesurfing schools such as IslaKite, that offers beginners courses for an affordable price. Coupled with the kitesurfing schools, other dive operators and parasailing operators work together to provide a wide range of watersports of the holidaymaker.
