Schattengallerie (Shadow Gallery), the lost ones
As I stepped my feet into Shadow Gallery, I expected it was like hide-and-seek room, dark with shadows. I was too naïve, because what they wanted to exhibit were the lost paintings. They were lost either because they were stolen and never be founded anymore or because they were destroyed during WWII. You might only see some frames without paintings at Shadow Gallery, because the real paintings were never found back. Or some paintings, that you see are not real anymore, they just re-printed again from some books. I have to say that I was very surprised when I saw them, because they are quite a lot. To fit the theme “Shadow Gallery”, of course you won’t get a lot of light. It was not dark, but pretty dim. [more] |
