Piccolo Restaurant: small, cozy with great food
I’ve seen Piccolo many times and always wanted to eat there. Either we didn’t go that direction or we kept forgetting about it, that’s why we didn’t have a chance to try it until my company invited us to eat there. Piccolo is not very big but very cozy. It can only hold 5-6 tables, but because it is located at the corner of a junction, so you can enjoy great views. I started my appetizer with very healthy salad (baked red pepper, aubergine and tomato, plus rucola with olive paste. It was in a very small portion. Then potato soup in small coffee cup came after the salad. It was kind of cute, and tasted great. Then ravioli stuffed with cheese as a third appetizer. Berry sherbet was offered after ravioli, it was pretty fresh especially after all the appetizers. My main course was lemon pepper salmon, it came with baked potatoes, fennel and broccoli. The salmon was very fresh. The dessert tasted like panna cotta but with caramel like crème brûlée. Even my Italian co-worker couldn’t define it. The interior design with certain paintings makes Piccolo one of a kind.
