Discover Arts and Culture at the CCP Library and Archives
If you want to deeply know about the destination you go to, what’s better way to do that but to know its culture through arts. In the Philippines, there’s only one place to indulge in the local art and literary society—the CCP Library and Archives. Beyond print materials of musical scores, manuscripts, photos, phonorecords and others, the CCP Library and Archives has audio and video tapes of the best classical performances of the country. . Included in this vast repository of knowledge are collections from renowned scholars like Lucrecia Kasilag, Lino Brocka, Atang dela Rama (National Artists in different fields), and of course, the ever-famous Zarzuela Collection. Some important reminders for visitors: Daily Entrance Fees range from 11Php for students, 25Php for professionals. There’s also an annual membership fee of 200Php for students and 250Php for professionals and graduate school students. Library hours are Tuesday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. [more] |
