Midnight Snack at Goodah

 stars
Among the favorite Filipino merienda meals (snacks) are goto, arroz caldo, and such foods—all those are different types of porridge. Most people prefer to eat these in the afternoon or sometimes in the morning. But after work, which is nearly midnight, I often look for a meal that’s not too heavy and not too light either. Where else to find those merienda meals but in Goodah, which is open just 25 hours everyday. Yes, you heard it right—25 hours!

Aside from the merienda meals, Goodah is also famous for its Pares—a rice bowl topped with sweet-sauced beef. The desserts are also worth of a try—leche flan, halo-halo, sweet banana, and more. The prices are not that cheap though. An order or arroz caldo is more than one dollar. An order of Pares is US$1.4. But, what’s a dollar or two for such a good meal, right? [more]
